Welcome to the Law Office of Catherine R. Mack
Estate Planning and Probate Attorney for Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia
Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you'll find it informative and useful in your search for an attorney.
As you will learn from visiting this site, I have a broad base of experience in the law that enables me to bring wisdom, practicality and efficiency to my work. My goal, simply put, is for my clients to receive all the time and attention appropriate for their situation and competent and friendly service for the dollars spent.
For more than thirty years, I’ve assisted people and businesses in need of intelligent, creative and successful solutions to sometimes difficult legal problems. As a former chief legal officer of a publicly traded real estate investment trust and as a former federal prosecutor, I bring a strong business, real estate and litigation background to the complicated field of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and probate and trust litigation. Whether you’re interested in protecting hard-earned assets or a substantial inheritance, I know how to ensure that assets are properly distributed upon death. I also am skilled at estate/probate and trust administration, including probate and trust litigation, and with legal problems associated with aging.
How Do I Charge Reasonable Fees for First-Rate Legal Work?
Because I work on my own, I have the flexibility to give you the attention you deserve when you need it. Since I am a sole practitioner (although I am located in a law firm of 16 attorneys) I am able to charge very reasonable fees for first-rate legal work. You do not pay for fancy furniture, artwork or extraneous staff — just for my time and for normal out-of-pocket expenses such as postage and copies.
My clients include residents of Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia — business people, attorneys, young couples with minor children, elderly persons looking for sound advice, Personal Representatives of estates, trustees of trusts, beneficiaries of probate estates and trusts, government workers, military personnel and retirees. Although my practice is very busy, I always have time for new clients and I welcome your call.
